I run Installation (second option in grub), X start failed, I see: |linux login: _ If I type linux, root or any other login, it just display "Welcome to openSUSE 11.4 ...". Then reboot, tried with 'nomodeset'. Same story - fail. Then I reboot and run live session (the first option in grub) - same story - fail (with nomodeset too). If You need any logs, just write. Why this RC1 LiveCD KDE is messed up? This is RC1... or it should be... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot from LiveCD KDE. 2. Try start live session or installation directly. 3. Wait until boot... I tested it on real hardware and vbox 4.0.2. Same failed resuld in both casees. I used only i586 version. boot failed also on real hardware - so this is not vbox bug
