[Bug 446455] New: kiwi: allow boot display name customization
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=446455 Summary: kiwi: allow boot display name customization Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: System Imaging AssignedTo: ms@novell.com ReportedBy: ms@novell.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- Hi, The attached patch adds a 'displayname' attribute to the 'image' node. It then uses this value (if available) in the boot menu for isolinux and grub. So you can have 'suse-SLED-foo' as the image name but something like "snorp's Xtr3m3 Image" as display name.
