I just wanted to suggest to include a check in the installer (I guess in the spec-file) that if /usr/share/octave/site/m/startup/ octaverc exists to just keep it … it is annoying to re-modify this file every other time in order to keep track of the local configuration if an update is made and it gets deleted each time.
