Question: - What does the setting HAL_DISABLE_POLLING do? I can't find where it is used.
It is not used anymore and should be removed from the remaining predefined profiles. More information: http://diablo.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/man/man2html?hal-disable-polling+1
Please note that I'm currently a little bit pre-occupied with a YaST crash and X11 only working in FailSafe mode.
Same here. So no hurry whatsoever. (In reply to comment #9)
Question: - Have you re-added the start-up script to load the hardware board CpuFreq driver? It was no longer in the openSUSE Factory repository, so I now load the acpi_cpufreq driver by adding it to the INITRD_MODULES list in /etc/sysconfig/kernel .
It should be in the pm-utils package. For the other stuff...I'm fine with all of it. However, as mentioned in comment #6, it would be great if you could rebase the changes to what is in the upstream repo. Of course, as soon as time permits, this would make the packaging a lot easier. Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
