[Bug 242101] New: yum tracebacks a lot
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=242101 Summary: yum tracebacks a lot Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 0plus Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de QAContact: qa@suse.de yum recently started tracebacking on a current factory installation. It worked fine until recently; I don't remember which package update broke it. The problem affects basically all operations and not just yum itself, but also other applications like yum-utils and rum which use the yum module. They all appear working correctly, but have identical tracebacks appended to their regular output. Example: # rum fl python-gnome-extras /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkmozembed/class-gtkmozembed.html /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkmozembed/gtkmozembed-class-reference.html /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkmozembed/index.html /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkmozembed/index.sgml /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkmozembed/pygtkmozembed.devhelp /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkspell/class-gtkspell.html /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkspell/gtkspell-class-reference.html /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkspell/index.html /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkspell/index.sgml /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc/html/pygtkspell/pygtkspell.devhelp /usr/lib/pkgconfig/gnome-python-extras-2.0.pc /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gtk-2.0/egg /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gtk-2.0/egg/__init__.py /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gtk-2.0/egg/__init__.pyc /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gtk-2.0/egg/trayicon.so /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gtkhtml2.so /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gtkmozembed.so /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/AUTHORS /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/COPYING /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/NEWS /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/README /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/egg/recent /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/egg/recent/Bonobo_Sample_Hello.xml /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/egg/recent/bonobo-view.py /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/egg/recent/gtk-view.py /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/egg/recent/populate-recent.py /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/gdl/gdl_test.py /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/gtkhtml2/simple-browser.py /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/gtkspell/gtkspell.py /usr/share/doc/packages/python-gnome-extras/examples/gtkspell/test.py /usr/share/pygtk/2.0/defs/gtkhtml2.defs /usr/share/pygtk/2.0/defs/gtkmozembed.defs /usr/share/pygtk/2.0/defs/trayicon.defs Error in atexit._run_exitfuncs: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/atexit.py", line 24, in _run_exitfuncs func(*targs, **kargs) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/logging/__init__.py", line 1352, in shutdown h.close() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/logging/handlers.py", line 630, in close if self.unixsocket: AttributeError: SysLogHandler instance has no attribute 'unixsocket' Error in sys.exitfunc: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/atexit.py", line 24, in _run_exitfuncs func(*targs, **kargs) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/logging/__init__.py", line 1352, in shutdown h.close() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/logging/handlers.py", line 630, in close if self.unixsocket: AttributeError: SysLogHandler instance has no attribute 'unixsocket' python-2.5-30 yum-3.0.3-3 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=242101 ------- Comment #1 from andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de 2007-02-06 23:43 MST ------- Some additional info: All recent changes I remember on my system were reinstallations of packages where I knew that they have been rebuild without bumping the release number. Therefore I tend to blame one of the new default compiler flags for this problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
