Indeed the best in ocl-icd/libOpenCL1 would be to check /etc/OpenCL/vendors first and then fall back to /usr/share/OpenCL/vendors. Feel free to work on a patch. ;-) --> ocl_icd_loader.c:__initClIcd(void)

I've worked on a patch for this and submitted it for factory/TW. I'm attaching it here as well. It may still get changes in the package though.

Shouldn't we rather check both directories? With the patch, if I have anything in /etc/OpenCL/vendors, or even just an empty directory, I can't use MesaOpenCL anymore without creating a symlink.
