That's weird. Can you please do "ls /sys/firmware/edd/int13_dev80/" and "cat /sys/firmware/edd/int13_dev80/interface" and report the result? Also, whether a device is assigned /dev/sda or /dev/sdb doesn't really matter. The BIOS mapping of device is discovered separately and mapped to discovered OS devices. Steffen, I don't know much about grub. From what I see in the logs above, I'd say that

I can confirm comment #13 from logs: there are 2 disks /dev/sda/ (250G) and /dev/sdb (100G) yast2-bootloader works with the disks in "correct order" /dev/sda is the first disk (bios_id 0x80) and /dev/sdb is the second disk. Steffen but please look at Description of bug. User wrote that his 250G disk is the /dev/sdb and it is the second disk in order. --> It means you select wrong disk like the first disk in order. The setup of bootloader is good in this case but detection order of disks is wrong.
