[Bug 395710] New: Mysql init script does not allow multiple active mysql servers (checkproc: -p missing)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=395710 Summary: Mysql init script does not allow multiple active mysql servers (checkproc: -p missing) Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Booting AssignedTo: jsrain@novell.com ReportedBy: Reg@elconas.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer When starting multiple mysql servers on one machine (e.g. prod/test) and if init scripts are used to automatically start the instances during boot, only the fist mysql instance is started. For the others checkproc returns that the instance is already running. The reason for this is the missing "-p PIDFILE" to checkproc in /etc/init.d/mysql. Fix: Replace in /etc/init.d/mysql "checkproc $MYSQLD" with "checkproc -p $pid_file $MYSQLD". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
