When my nc6120 rebooted once the install had finished it only got as far as init 3 Welcome to openSUSE 11.2 Alpha .... nc login high cpu load 0.82 nc cpu load 0.82 .. .. .. I switched to alt-f2 and logged on as root and ran SaX2 Fatal server error: no screens found Please check the log at "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" for additional information Laptop is an nc6120 laptop (Intel 915GM chipset) - it has ***always** a piece of cake to figure using opensuse Note : same problem with Net install using openSUSE-Factory-NET-i586-Build00582Media.iso see Subject: [opensuse-factory] A few comments on the openSUSE-Factory-NET-i586-Build0052-Media Date: Mon, 13 Apr 2009 20:49:10 +0200 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. use openSUSE-Factory-NET-i586-Build0052-Media to install 11.2 on Intel 915GM chipset 2. or boot into init 3 if 11.2 is installed and run SaX2 3. What does happen if you unplug your monitor, so only internal DISPLAY (LVDS) is there?

I was asking since SaX2 detected a Card0 => DDC : QDS0025 Card0 => Name : QUANTADISPLAY LCD Monitor Card0 => Vendor : QDS
