[Bug 1194918] New: Yast fails to detect/setup hp printer
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1194918 Bug ID: 1194918 Summary: Yast fails to detect/setup hp printer Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: HP OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing Assignee: jsmeix@suse.com Reporter: michael.soibelman0@gmail.com QA Contact: jsmeix@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 855415 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=855415&action=edit yast log I tried to set up my hp-envy 5052 using Yast and hp-setup to no avail. Keep getting this in Yast: Error Failed to read /var/lib/Yast2/autodetected_print_queues.ycp This happened after a clean install. See attached file. Also note that the scanner, which is the same unit, works fine... Also note that there was no problem setting up the printer on two other installations (hdd's) on the same computer also running Tumbleweed... I've uninstalled/reinstalled all cups and hp software but nothing changes. hp-setup and hp-doctor both give error messages. hp-setup says "error: No module named 'PyQt4'". I have PyQt4 Version 4.10.1 installed. hp-doctor says error: This distro (i.e suse 20220118) is either deprecated or not yet supported. The diagnosis is limited on unsupported platforms.
