[Bug 734760] New: network:ha-clustering: Bug heartbeat
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734760 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734760#c0 Summary: network:ha-clustering: Bug heartbeat Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: nix@opensuse.org ReportedBy: novell@vertone.co.uk QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- heartbeat fails to acquire resources after reboot I've tracked this down to the resource-agents-3.9.2-2.1.2.x86_64 package. This has as one of its components the directory /var/run/resource-agents which is used by the resource agents when acquiring resources. Unfortunately, /var/run is now a temporary directory and because of this the /var/run/resource-agents disappears when the server reboots. As a temporary fix I've modified my /etc/init.d/heartbeat script to create the directory when starting heartbeat. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'm not going to request a general maintenance update for resource-agents though, because AFAIK it's only possible to hit this problem when using heartbeat in v1/haresources mode, and heartbeat is currently only available via the network:ha-clustering repo, it's not in the main distro. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
