This is for example visible in the recent upgrade from SC 4.6 to SC 4.7 in which all folder icons where completely remade. The result of the old cache was that old and new icons appeared together on screen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSUSE with Plasma Desktop 4.6 2. Use the system for a while to get icons cached 3.
