[Bug 880577] New: glib's g_date_time_new_now_local() returns LMT (local mean time) instead of proper timezone
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=880577 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=880577#c0 Summary: glib's g_date_time_new_now_local() returns LMT (local mean time) instead of proper timezone Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 13.2 Milestone 0 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: evan.mcclain@gatech.edu QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 GNOME's clock now shows local mean time instead of the timezone information given by `timedatectl`. `date` shows proper date and time. See https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=510422 for more info, indicates that upgrading to 2014d fixes the issue (I have timezone-2014c-1.1.x86_64 installed). Attempting to set the timezone using GNOME settings is also broken (defaults to LMT at each city).
