Please keep in mind that the automated storage proposal in YaST is just that: A
proposal. In more complex scenarios, it might just not fit your needs, so you
have to either do it completely manually or just give it some hints.
The first (and much simpler) approach is to choose "use partition based setup"
where you can choose the disk to install on and what partitions you allow to be
deleted on it.
If that doesn't work for you, enter the expert partitioner and resize, delete
and create partitions to your heart's content.
Having more scenarios being supported automatically IS a features request.
There is a neverending list of special partitions that hardware vendors come up
with that may or may not need to be retained while installing Linux.
Restoring old bug resolution accordingly.
