[Bug 751180] New: Future kernels will break libsensors
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=751180 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=751180#c0 Summary: Future kernels will break libsensors Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: All URL: http://www.lm-sensors.org/changeset/6017 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: ASSIGNED Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: jdelvare@suse.com ReportedBy: jdelvare@suse.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development Blocker: --- An upcoming kernel change in sysfs directory link accounting is known to break libsensors and thus all libsensors-based applications (including, but not limited to, sensors and sensord.) This change is expected to hit upstream in kernel 3.4. While we don't use this kernel in openSUSE 12.1, users are sometimes asked to test more recent kernels to know if a specific issue is still present there or not, so I think it would make sense to include the upstream fix in openSUSE 11.2 so that they can continue doing so when needed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
