[Bug 1165597] New: Re-enable the legacy DBM database (libnssdbm) in mozilla-nss
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1165597 Bug ID: 1165597 Summary: Re-enable the legacy DBM database (libnssdbm) in mozilla-nss Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox Assignee: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: psychonaut@nothingisreal.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Blocks: 1165414 Found By: --- Blocker: --- As of NSS 3.49.1, building of the legacy DBM database (libnssdbm) is disabled by default. However, per https://groups.google.com/forum/#!original/mozilla.support.seamonkey/RdrsJOx... this database is required by the upgrade mechanism for SeaMonkey 2.53.1. In our mozilla-nss package we should use the provided build flag (-Ddisable_dbm=0 if building manually, or --enable-legacy-db if we ever decide to switch to the gyp build) to re-enable it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'm a bit confused. We still ship libnssdbm3.so within the sub package libsoftokn3. Isn't this the right thing?
No, I guess I'm the one who was confused -- I had overlooked that the library is provided in a subpackage. (I had checked only mozilla-nss.) Do we need to explicitly add libsoftokn3 as a requirement in seamonkey.spec? Or is this subsumed by the existing PreReq for mozilla-nss? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
