The last actions I took before saving the logs. 1. Opened ldap configuration and turned on automount directories. 2. Opened nfs client and closed it (got confused with the autofs one) 3. But openldap expects its configuration in /etc/openldap/ldap.conf Also, it does not matter if ldap has already been configured with yast ldap, the yast autofs module *always* complains that ldap has not been configured. This seems to be a yast problem. After copying /etc/ldap.conf to /etc/openldap/ldap.conf and a rcautofs restart automounter is working here for me.
