[Bug 365688] Yast avoids to install/upgrade xen systems that used virtual partitions
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=365688 User luizluca@tre-sc.gov.br added comment http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=365688#c20 --- Comment #20 from Luiz Angelo Daros de Luca <luizluca@tre-sc.gov.br> 2009-06-04 11:29:32 MDT --- I managed to upgrade a SLES10 to SLES11 on LVM by: 1) copy xen kernel/ramdisk from SLES11 install media 2) setup manually those in machine configuration (and comment any other boot config) as a clean new installation will do. 3) startup the machine 4) select upgrade. At this point, it looks for partitions but find no disk 5) alt+f3, mount all xvd* virtual partitions under /mnt 6) go back to gui, alt+f7, and just press "Next" even without partitions listed or selected on screen After this, installation goes without problems. Should some of this parts be implemented in Yast? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
