I only get a "Lock screen" when i close the laptop's lid. I have check all the settings on powerdevil profiles and are set to "suspend to ram" when laptop's lid closes, but it doesn't work. So I cannot try the suggestions made above. Any directions where to look? I'm running the latest builds of KDE 4.2 from Factory repo (updated today). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

DRI disabled (I have added the option "NoDRI" in device section of xorg.conf and comment the DRI section) results in black screen on X start or empty blue screen after logon. 3. s2ram from shell (as root) with no_console_suspend kernel parameter and splash disabled on /etc/suspend.conf hangs the system as well without displaying something. Hanged system stays in console login (like if you disable the graphical login screen) but needs hard reset. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

How can i found this?
I'm running s2ram from the shell without options and the system seems to start to enter suspend mode (X is terminated) and hangs on the console login screen (like you press ctrl+alt+F1).
This means s2ram recognizes it, so in principle suspend should work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Could you retry from console 0 (without X) with # klogconsole -l 7 -r /dev/tty0 before running s2ram?
I get a: #s2ram Switching from vt1 to vt1 fbcon fb0 state 1 and the system hangs. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But within X (after normal boot) I'm continuing to get a freeze system. I have attached my pm-suspend.log. I suspect that something has to do with a module not unloading properly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
