It seems that the problem has been solved with exiv2 v0.26. cf: https://www.darktable.org/redmine/issues/10864#change-29769 So the the question seems to be, when an an update from exiv2 v0.25 to exiv2 v.026 for suse leap 42 or 13.2 will be available in a suitable repository.
