[Bug 728561] New: Missing libreoffice-base-devel-3.4.2.6-2.3.1.x86_64.rpm from update repository
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=728561 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=728561#c0 Summary: Missing libreoffice-base-devel-3.4.2.6-2.3.1.x86_64.rpm from update repository Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ch.ehrlicher@gmx.de QAContact: cwei@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 The openSUSE 11.4 update repository doesn't provide any devel - packages for the updated libreoffice 3.4.2 - packages. Looks like they were forgotten somehow. This prevents me from compiling my addon to libreoffice with current openSUSE11.4. For openSUSE 11.3 those packages (e.g. libreoffice-base-devel-3.3.1.2-2.2.3.x86_64.rpm) are available. btw: any idea if libreoffice in 11.3 is updated to 3.4.x ? http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Unstable/openSUSE_11.... provides 3.4.2 but the devel packages are missing there too ... Reproducible: Always Actual Results: No developpment packages for libreoffice 3.4.x Expected Results: developpment packages for libreoffice 3.4.x :) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

We used it for the first time for openSUSE-11.1 where the build took ages. It was supposed to help new people with hacking on LO. It went out that it was not the right way. Other distribution did not start using it. LO developers even wanted single source repository again, see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/One_Git_Conversion So, the split build did not have any future and we decided to get rid of it with LO-3.4 => there are not longer devel packages. The only official way is to use the libreoffice-sdk package. Well, I am not sure how much it will be supported in the future. There are some discussions what is the stable API. The current API is not ideal and it is hard to fix it when it is marked as stable. I am sorry to say but I do not have any easy solution. One possibility would be to build the full LO from sources on your machine. BTW: What is your extension about? You might want to integrate it into LO out of box. Just join us. This will make libreoffice useless for me! I mean - although an api is not stable - why to stop any addons from compiling/working by simply removing the package? I don't care much about api stability since I've a dedicated version which I'm developing against. Is this the new way to kill themself? I'm using openSUSE because I like to use the openSUSE buildservice instead compiling on my own - so this is not really an option. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=728561 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=728561#c4 --- Comment #4 from Petr Mladek <pmladek@suse.com> 2011-11-08 13:29:34 UTC --- Have you tried libreoffice-sdk package? It provides many headers that were part of the -ure-devel package. AFAIK, you will not find libreoffice-ure-devel in any other distribution. It was SUSE-specific hack, was not accepted by others and we do not want to maintain it anymore. If you compile your addon in BS against libreoffice-ure-devel, it will work only with LibreOffice packages from BS. Is this really what you want? If you are in doubts how to develop extensions for LibreOffice, I suggest to ask question on the libreoffice@lists.freedesktop.org mailing list. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
