[Bug 326296] New: installation: problem in non-installation deselects all default packages
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=326296 Summary: installation: problem in non-installation deselects all default packages Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: RC 1 Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kssingvo@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: coolo@novell.com Found By: Development I installed (fresh installation) openSUSE 10.3 RC1 During installation I'd chosen "Details" for package selection. I selected a few additional package sets, like "Konsolenwerkzeuge" (console tools?), and additional packages, like "findutils-locate". As the disk space is limited on my machine, I started deselection of unneeded packages. The first package was "emacs-info". I run into trouble (as expected) and I chose "non installation of emacs" in requester. This leeds to further trouble, again a requester came up. At this point I noticed that many packages got deselected. And suddenly only 1% instead of 60% disk space are used. The main issue is here: that deselection of "emacs" deselects the default packages too. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
