[Bug 477064] New: No Video with Kaffeine on external Monitor
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=477064 Summary: No Video with Kaffeine on external Monitor Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE3 AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: klei6b05@uni-trier.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081213 SUSE/1.1.14-1.1 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 I use kaffeine and xine on my Acer Travelmate 4000 with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9600. When I plug an external monitor on the monitor Out of my notebook, I don't get any video in Kaffeine on the external monitor. Instead I see a (dark) blue area. The videos work well on the notebook display. I can also watch videos in Avidemux-GTK on the external screen, but not in Kaffeine. The problem occurs, no matter which option I select in the YaST monitor settings dialog (Cloned multihead or xinerama multihead; 3D acceleration on or off). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Plug a monitor on your notebooks external monitor out. 2. Open a video file (or DVD or DVB-T TV) in Kaffeine. Actual Results: In the Kaffeine window on the external screen I see a (dark) blue area. Expected Results: Kaffeine should display the video, as it's doin well on the internal notebook display After I have 3D acceleration out-of-the-box with openSuse 11.1., I don't use any proprietary ATI driver. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
