I try out the Xfce desktop environment once more. The package "xfce4-panel-4.10.0-84.1" provides the plug-in "action buttons", doesn't it?
This software component contains a button "Switch User". I get the following message box after I clicked on it. "Neue Anzeige konnte nicht gestartet werden
The name org.gnome.DisplayManager was not provided by any .service files"
Should the feature "Fast user and desktop switching" work here also when the log-in manager is KDM in my system currently?
No, it currently only works with GDM and LightDM by calling gdmflexiserver. This is a limitation of the action buttons plugin, it shows the "Switch user" item depending on whether a "gdmflexiserver" binary is in $PATH and does not check which display manager is actually running. Nowadays, that should be possible via DBus but that's an RFE for Xfce upstream. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
