steam fails to start with the following message:

I have installed this package from the OpenSUSE 15.0 non-oss repo. Here is "zypper info steam" relevant output:

Could opensuse's build possibly integrate the update from Valve? If that is not possible, could it have a post-installation message telling the user to follow the workaround?
