In openSUSE 11.0, all known sources of this problem are declared as fixed (e. g. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463430). But real experience shows raising number of these hangs. In openSUSE 11.0 it happens about 10-20 times daily. Just that it changes too much of logic, Im bit scared. Stanislav, would you mind trying the patch for you. I can push it in, if this works well for you. The way mail access addresbook is the issue and this patch redefines it. I know Evolution's ldap implementation is very old and not very good I would say. Do you have a configuration to say, show images, if mail is for contacts in addressbook ? Yes.
Do you have a configuration to say, show images, if mail is for contacts in addressbook ?
Yes. In openSUSE beta3 (evolution 2.24.1, evolution-data-server-2.24.1), it seems to behave differently: - Problematic mail displays. - I am able to move to the next mail. "Formatting message..." is still present in the status bar. - I am able to quit. It is one of our old implementations, which we never took forward much.
