[Bug 415521] New: Confusing tooltip on GNOME logon screen
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=415521 Summary: Confusing tooltip on GNOME logon screen Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: greg@bolshaw.me.uk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- The following bug applies to a default installation of openSUSE 11.0 with the GNOME desktop. When hovering over the Username/Password text box, the following tooltip is displayed: 'Answer questions here and press Enter when done. For a menu press F10.' This may be confusing to the user and is superfluous as there are already clear prompts below the text box. Further more, when the system boots to the logon screen, the mouse pointer is defaults to the middle of the screen, causing the tooltip to be displayed immediately. It is my opinion that the tooltip serves no purpose and should simply be removed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
