Sorry for being unresponsive.
Can you please tell me if: 1. The issue is still present with the latest openSUSE 11.1 kernel update.
I don't know if I can test it, my 11.1 is a test partition and last time I tried it did not boot, it had a test kernel (vmlinuz-2.6.29-master_20090403204730_509b117c-default). The default kernel (vmlinuz-2.6.27.23-0.1-debug) does not hibernate or doesn't power off, I forget which. I have almost abandoned it and will have to check. Perhaps I'll have time to try over the weekend, will see.
2. It is possible to test with an openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 7 life CD available from http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.2-Milestone7/iso/ .
Yes, already done. Please see: Bug 538795 - 11.2 M7 fails to hibernate. 11.2 is quite nice as far as I can see, seems a very good version, but hibernation is a blocker to me if it doesn't work. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
