[Bug 1127399] Keyboard language setting from bootscreen isn't pre-set in YaST installer.
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1127399 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1127399#c3 Stefan Hundhammer <shundhammer@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|Normal |Minor --- Comment #3 from Stefan Hundhammer <shundhammer@suse.com> --- I just tested with a Leap 15.4 ISO: - Selected language German, keyboard German at the boot prompt (gfxboot): Both were correctly automatically selected in the YaST language / keyboard dialog. - Left language English (US), keyboard German at gfxboot: language English (US) (correct) in YaST, keyboard English (US) (wrong). The background is most likely that the YaST language dialog takes the language from /etc/install.inf if it's set there, and it looks up the default keyboard layout for that language from an internal map. That makes sense for a reasonable default, but it's wrong if the user already chose a keyboard layout in gfxboot (so it's written to /etc/install.inf). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
