http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=985674 Bug ID: 985674 Summary: "zypper in" offers the same alternative twice Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp Assignee: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: gp@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 681346 --> http://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=681346&action=edit zypper testcase (as xz-compressed tar) When trying to install gnome-shell-extension-gpaste I get an error (which we addressed in bug #984332) and three solutions with two duplicates (which this report is about): <<< <<< <<< snip <<< <<< <<< # zypper in gnome-shell-extension-gpaste Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Resolving package dependencies... Problem: gnome-shell-extension-gpaste-3.20-1.3.noarch requires application-appdata(gnome-shell-extension-gpaste), but this requirement cannot be provided uninstallable providers: application:GPaste-.noarch[repo-oss] Solution 1: do not install gnome-shell-extension-gpaste-3.20-1.3.noarch Solution 2: do not install gnome-shell-extension-gpaste-3.20-1.3.noarch Solution 3: break gnome-shell-extension-gpaste-3.20-1.3.noarch by ignoring some of its dependencies Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/3/c] (c):
>>> snap >>> >>> >>>
Here, at least to the user, Solution 1 and Solution 2 appear exactly the same, which is confusing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
