https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=731047 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=731047#c0 Summary: VMX and OEM on USB-device locks during boot on Hp ProBook 6550b Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Live Medium AssignedTo: coolo@suse.com ReportedBy: tcj@tomas.dk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0 When booting the ProBook 6550b locks up. There seems to be a known bug on this (bug 684667). The workaround for this is to remove the vga=xxx from the boot command line. This cannot be done when using kiwi. I have tried removing 'vga=' parts from KIWIBoot.pm, KIWIImage.pm and KIWILinuxRC.sh. Still the vga=xxx is in the cmdline. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Build USB stick 2.Boot it 3. Actual Results: Laptop locks up when reaching service kmd Expected Results: A nice KDE4 GUI -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
