Boot freeze has place at stage "Loading udev". I have information that this is 2.6.31 kernel bug related to BusLogic devices. I have such problem with all fresh Linux distributions (with 2.6.31 kernel included) except Mandriva 2010.0. This problem disappear only if I switch off some notebook devices in BIOS. It's a real miracle, but after installation of Broadcom wl driver problem disappeared. I installed this driver some days ago, but I forgot to test it by enabling wifi in BIOS (I initially disabled it for correct boot). Can you boot with sysrq=1 and then press alt+sysrq+w while on console 10 and capture the result? I made this but output is very-very long, at least 3 screen size. I don't know, can I rewind it?
