Both the logs attached to this bug report and the logs of https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/880685 (found by following the log provided in the description) show the installer crashes right after quitting the Expert Partitioner.
I don't know how you have connected that to the fact of deleting a partition, or to the fact of being in an UEFI system. YaST is not deleting any partition or doing nothing related in the moment it crashes.
If you ask me, it looks like the system going out of memory or something like that.
I tried to reproduce this but I failed. Can it be reproduced consistently? If that's the case, can you increase a bit the memory of the system to see if that makes the problem disappear?
