Goes on for say 5 seconds and off for 1 second and on again etc. http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/laptop/402165-upgraded-11-1-fan-going-nu... describes the problem as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install 11.1 on a D630 with nvidia driver 2. 3. Actual Results: result is that the fan starts, stops, starts, stops ad infinitum http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/laptop/402165-upgraded-11-1-fan-going-nu... states that a new beta would fix the problem. Don't know which beta it is. Anyway, we can't fix NVIDIA's proprietary driver.
