Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dl9pf@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Hi! I noticed this after updating from 11.0 to 11.1. My laptop-fan is working now more and at full speed especially when the system is IDLE. System is getting hot, when idle and cooling down when working with it. As I'm writing this, the fan is slowing down again. I've lately seen X running constantly at 100% and read about bug 461335, but don't know if its related as I've an Intel X3100. Currently I'm trying "nohz=off", but the issue also happens.
