[Bug 415767] New: read-only filesystem after ssh stage1 + lillo not replaced by grub
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=415767 Summary: read-only filesystem after ssh stage1 + lillo not replaced by grub Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Alpha 1 Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: per.jessen@enidan.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Situation: installation over ssh+nfs on a single processor Proliant DL320 with dual-PATA drives assembled as RAID1 for swap and root. I did a completely standard installation, didn't touch any of the options except for setting up to install on JFS on my RAID1. Stage1 went fine, but the machine ended up in a weird state - it still has LILO installed from the previous system. The system boots up, but the root filesystem is read-only and obviously stage 2 never starts. I'll repeat the exercise and get hold of the yast log. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

(presumably because it is still reading from my old /boot). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
