Hmm, the detection only read some ISA IO addresses, this should not really make trouble, but known to segfault in virtual machines because the addresses not mapped. So I think it's time to remove this code. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I still think some else is broken if that occurs on none virtual boxes. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'd heard only about the VM issue so far. We could make '-isa' the default and people really needing the old code can turn it on via hwprobe=+isa. And, if nobody complains, we can remove the code in 11.1 or so. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
