"sudo rcnetwork restart" fixes the problem, but this should happen automatically. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use Yast2 / Network Settings to change the Network Setup Method from Traditional to NetworkManager. 2. 3. Actual Results: The setting has changed, but the NetworkManager icon does not appear on the Gnome Panel.
