For individual mail. I can click in the "Note" box elements and the html message appears fine. However, under Settings -> Configure Kmail -> Security -> Reading the settings for: Prefer HTML to plain text Allow meesages to load external references from the internet are both checked on so I should be seeing html messages properly by default. After unchecking, then checking again and then clicking apply kmail displays html messages properly for the current session.
