https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=481582 Summary: change MALLOC_CHECK_=2 to MALLOC_CHECK_=3 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: ro@novell.com ReportedBy: seife@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: matz@novell.com Found By: Development in FACTORY, MALLOC_CHECK_ is set to "2" in /etc/profile.d/malloc-debug.sh, which I like. But if a program is faulty, it is just silently aborted, and it always takes me some time to find out, why this is the case. Reading the malloc(3) manpage shows, that, by setting the MALLOC_CHECK_ value to "3", we could get an informative message _and_ the program aborted. I suggest doing so. Taking the toolchain master into CC, as he might know a reason why we should not do that. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
