[Bug 223154] New: regression: panel (kicker) is kept in front when clicking on a window, clicking on the window title does work
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223154 Summary: regression: panel (kicker) is kept in front when clicking on a window, clicking on the window title does work Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Since the last update (factory from yesterday) the panel is kept in front if I click on a window. By panel I mean kicker, i.e. the bar with the systray etc. on it. I have set kicker to allow other windows to overlap it. It always works if I click on the window title, i.e. that part of the window with the close button etc. Since it worked in beta2, if I remember correctly, have there been any recent commits that could have caused this? Is this maybe a kwin issue? To reproduce just set your kicker to allow other windows to overlap it and maximise a window, e.g. konqueror. Now move the mouse to the edge of the screen kicker is placed at. It comes to the front. Click on the maximised window, kicker stays in the foreground. Click on the window's title, kicker is overlapped by the window. Expected behaviour: As soon as something else, that ovelaps kicker, gets the focus, kicker should be put into the background. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223154 ------- Comment #2 from sven.burmeister@gmx.net 2006-12-14 05:56 MST ------- I think there is another bit of this bug that has not been fixed yet. I have konqueror fullscreen in the back and some kopete window on top. I use the "always on top" button displayed in the title-bar to make the kopete window always on top. Then I click on the konqueror window to give it focus. After that click on the "always on top" button on the kopete window's title-bar to disable it. The kopete window does not get focus but stays on top. Now click on the konqueror window (not the titlebar). It should come to the front, but it stays in the background. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Open the new menu and drag an application to the desktop, choose to link it. Now click on the desktop, next to new kicker and it will not close. One has to click on the kicker-button in order to close it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

If you re-produce it you will see that the menu, which opens whe you click on the suse-logo, will not close unless you click on the logo again. Expectedbehaviou would be, as it works if one does not d&d items off it, to close the menu if on clicks next to it, i.e. takes the focus off the menu. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
