Here is what I saw with MozillaFirefox-3.0.7-1.1.6: Clicking on http/PDF links in evolution started Firefox with the PDF being loaded OK, clicking another link opened a new tab in Firefox and displayed the PDF OK. Even after clicking a third link showed the third PDF just fine. However when I closed the third tab, the remaining tabs would not display the content any more. Probably because the acroread process died.
