http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=972489 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=972489#c1 --- Comment #1 from Franck Bui <fbui@suse.com> --- These units are currently enabled by systemd no matter the system choices are (through its preset package). However systemd services should also follow the distro policy it's installed on. I think the preset package should be updated on SLE12-SP[012] distros as well as on the openSUSE ones. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=972489 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=972489#c4 --- Comment #4 from Franck Bui <fbui@suse.com> --- @Marcus, AFAICS this hasn't been updated for SLE12 < SP2 which is fortunate since DefaultInstance= is not supported on those distro where v210 is used. So my statement in comment#1 is wrong and this shouldn't be done in SP1 and SP0. However enabling "getty@.service" (without any instance) will lead to some errors on SP2 as well: indeed when migrating from SP1 to SP2 (for example) the branding package will try to enabled "getty@.service" when this package will be updated. However since systemd is still not updated at that time (so it's still on v210) the DefaultInstance= is still not supported and the symlink created will be incorrect. So I would suggest to enabled "getty@tty1.service" for dealing with the previous case. See bsc#1015044 for the details. Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

The openSUSE 42.1 changed to end-of-life (EOL [1]) status. As such it is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of openSUSE, or you can still observe it under openSUSE Leap 15.0, please feel free to reopen this bug against that version (see the "Version" component in the bug fields), or alternatively open a new ticket. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed during the lifetime of the release.
