https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=852777 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=852777#c0 Summary: grub2 does not honor default boot setting Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader AssignedTo: jsrain@suse.com ReportedBy: wolfgang@rosenauer.org QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- I've installed 13.1 (as always) as a parallel OS so I can prepare it slowly to replace my 12.3 setup. During the transition I want to boot 12.3 by default though. I cannot get it to work. I've set the default using YaST and AFAICT the following settings are correct: /etc/default/grub: GRUB_DEFAULT=saved /etc/grub2/grubenv: saved_entry=openSUSE 12.3 (x86_64) (on /dev/sda5) Hygiea:/mnt/boot/grub2 # grep "openSUSE 12.3 (x86_64) (on /dev/sda5)" /mnt/boot/grub2/grub.cfg menuentry 'openSUSE 12.3 (x86_64) (on /dev/sda5)' --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os $menuentry_id_option 'osprober-gnulinux-simple-034b0296-cb0b-4385-8ee1-050344aaeac8' { But still grub2 boots into 13.1 after startup. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
