After such a failed installation attempt, even the already installed openSUSE 10.3 shows the same effekt (shotdown directly after grub). After such a failed installation attempt, even the already installed openSUSE 10.3 shows the same effekt (shotdown directly after grub). Trying out the next 11.1 Beta could also shed some light into this, maybe
Have you tried with vga=normal and splash boot param removed? Maybe also adding "earlyprintk=vga" boot param shows something?
