[Bug 389335] New: no way to ignore failed rpm checksum and go ahead and install it
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=389335 Summary: no way to ignore failed rpm checksum and go ahead and install it Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jkupec@novell.com QAContact: dmacvicar@novell.com Found By: Development Q: Why would you want to do it? A: Just to risk and try whether the problem was actually a wrong checksum in the metadata, but the package itself is fine. Currently, if the user chooses to 'ignore', it actually means 'skip'. So if you agree we should enable 'ignore', we will need a new 'IgnoreRequestException' in addition to the existing SkipRequestException and handle it separately in the commit code. But this ignore vs. skip thing is a bit tricky as sometimes ignore == skip (failed download - no rpm file available). Maybe a specific IgnoreFailedChecksumException? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
