[Bug 270490] New: udevd takes ages to create cdrom device
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=270490 Summary: udevd takes ages to create cdrom device Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 3 Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: kasievers@novell.com ReportedBy: snwint@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com While testing installation for alpha3+ (udev 109-4), on my test machine udev creates /dev/sr0 reproducibly 30s after sda (both driven by ata_piix). ps shows write_cd_rules running all the time. When I add a '-x' to write_cd_rules to see what it is doing, the bug vanishes.
