Quite the opposite. But maybe I could have been able to reproduce the issue by installing suse-prime, if it's known to be an issue on such systems. But doesn't look like. I still believe this issue happens when trying to update a KMP with exact the same version number. I just noticed that when updating to the same KMP version the kenel modules don't get recompiled against the new kernel. The cleanup of the compiled sources happens in %preun of oldpackage, which runs *after* installing the new package and running its %post.
