http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558566 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558566#c0 Summary: gst-launch fails with Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgst*.so': libd*.so.*: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: walter.kulecz-1@nasa.gov QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4 gst-launch fails: gst-launch v4l2src ! video/x-raw-yuv, framerate=\(fraction\)30000/1001 ! xvimagesink (gst-launch-0.10:7388): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstnassink.so': libaudio.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory .. I tried making a symlink /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10 to /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10 and also creating the gst plugin path variable: export GST_PLUGIN_PATH=/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.gst-launch v4l2src ! video/x-raw-yuv, framerate=\(fraction\)30000/1001 ! xvimagesink 2. 3. Actual Results: gst-launch fails as described in Details above Expected Results: video capture displayed in a window I'm trying to setup a 64-bit development system for a gstreamer based application. Ubuntu 9.10 is missing too many tools and I can't find its gstreamer source code. Fedora Core seemed to have everything I need, but crashed twice while trying to install all the bits and pieces I need so I wiped it and installed openSUSE 11.2. Open SUSE seems to have the pieces I need, but is missing a few I'd like, got the gstreamer sources for reference but can't get to first base testing things. All the libgst*.so files listed in the error warning messages are there in /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10 but none of the libgst*.so.* files are. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in openSUSE since the time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a current, supported openSUSE version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly reopen this bug and move it to the tested version of openSUSE. Truly yours. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
