[Bug 1040775] New: smplayer: Incorrect default audio output driver
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1040775 Bug ID: 1040775 Summary: smplayer: Incorrect default audio output driver Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound Assignee: tiwai@suse.com Reporter: kyrimis@alumni.princeton.edu QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The default audio output driver for smplayer is "pulse," instead of "pulse" (i.e., there is an extra comma). This results in mpv being called with the option "--ao=pulse,," instead of "--ao=pulse," which mpv cannot understand, thus failing to start. A quick workaround is to erase the additional comma from Preferences->General->Output driver. If I do so, restart smplayer, and ask to use a user defined driver, smplayer will initialize the text field with the incorrect "pulse," name. Looking at the binary, there is, indeed, an occurrence of the string "pulse," in it. To make sure that the problem was not caused by a misconfiguration on my part, I removed the .config/smplayer directory completely. Smplayer created a new configuration directory, where smplayer.ini had the incorrect driver name. The problem does not exist with the packages provided by the smplayer author, so it is probably caused by an openSUSE customization. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
